I’m experimenting with a new look and feel for the site, updating some information on the research agenda and, overall, sprucing things up. I’m eager for your feedback on the new layout and design and whether it’s working better or worse for my readers. Please leave comments so I can continue to make the blog work better for you!

From time to time, travel gets heavy in the analyst job. It means time away from writing in many cases, but it almost always means a chance to reconnect with those I’ve not had a chance to see in a while and who I’ve yet to meet. In that spirit, I wanted to share some of my upcoming travel.
April 17 – April 20th, Genesys G-Force conference, Seattle, WA
April 23 – 25th, Austin, TX for client work
April 30th – May 2 – Las Vegas (tentative)
May 8th – May 11 – San Francisco and Bay Area, Speaking at SIIA VIA Content on May 9th
Please leave a comment send a direct Twitter message or even an good, old fashioned email to connect, and we’ll see if we can make schedules connect. I hope that we do! I try to keep my speeches and events page updated as often as possible, to, so you can keep tabs on me on a running basis.

I’m thrilled to be able to announce my new position, service end users and vendors looking to tackle complex mobile strategy issues. Today is my first official day as an analyst at Altimeter Group, a research firm that – with some true A-players – has made a name for itself is covering disruptive technologies.
An excerpt from the firm’s blog post is below.
“Altimeter prides itself in being able to take a holistic view. We are a firm dedicated to understand how single technologies and combinations of these technology to help clients prepare and maximize the opportunitiy. To meet this goal, we are hiring. Today, we are excited to announce the hiring of Chris Silva…”
I look forward to continuing my interaction with all of the clients I’ve had the pleasure of serving in the past and meeting and serving many more new firms in the future on tackling all things mobile.

Welcome to my blog, if you’ve found your way here from my Twitter feed, my bio or my employer’s site, know that, while this site includes discourse on the topics of making mobile work for employees, for customers and for your business, the views reflected here are my own and not those of my employer.
I plan to use this space as a discussion area to present ideas I’ll be researching in my role with Altimeter Group, track trends I’m seeing in the mobile space and how I feel these trends will play out and evolve over time.
I look forward to starting a dialogue with all of you.
